GRATEFUL
Say it with me: G R A T E F U L
As kids, we used to go around the Thanksgiving table and tell everyone who we are grateful for. The list typically included Mom, Dad, the hamster and maybe a sibling (depending on how well we were getting along that day).
As an adult, I am still grateful for family, friends and pets, but also for people in my professional orbit.
☕ On this #MugMonday, as we approach Thanksgiving, I'm GRATEFUL for Stephanie Blair.
I met Stephanie during a very uncertain time in my career. She somehow, as if magically, guided me towards the best path, yet made it seem like it was all my own doing. 🪄 ✨
Stephanie is the founder of Know & Flourish, a professional growth advisory that works with executives and leaders. The name says it all, Stephanie helps you first know yourself, your strengths, and then helps you flourish. That's what she did for me. Our work was personal, impactful, artisanal.
When I asked Stephanie about her favorite mug, her answer was so perfectly her: "I tend to be pragmatic about my kitchenware, but I am also a sucker for just-right beautiful objects, the ones that elevate the everyday and bring a little shot of joy into the quotidian. This espresso cup does that for me.”
“It’s the perfect size for my mid-day pick-me-up. And if the weather allows, I take that espresso outside and breathe for a moment, feeling the sun on my cheeks. This is one way I reset my day to show up at my best for my clients and my family.” ☀️
The cup comes from a Vancouver ceramic shop on Etsy, the kind of place where you can feel the artist's care in every piece. Working with Stephanie feels the same way: intentional, personal, crafted with thought.
As we approach Thanksgiving, think about who you’re GRATEFUL for in your career. Send them an email or tag them here and make their day!
And if you're shopping on Black Friday or Cyber Monday, consider supporting artisans and small businesses - like the Etsy shop where Stephanie found this beautiful cup. Real people creating meaningful work, one piece at a time.
Finally, if you find yourself at a career crossroads or want to explore growth possibilities, grab a coffee with Stephanie (she's the best).
